Niagara Association of Realtors® Inaugurates 2026 President
New
officers and directors also installed
Amherst, NY – On January
12, 2026, Lori A. Adams was named 2026 President of the Buffalo Niagara
Association of Realtors® (BNAR), a trade organization with more than 3,400 members
whose mission is to assist members
to become successful, inclusive, and profitable and to promote professionalism,
cooperation, fair housing, and real property rights.
Adams,
a Clarence Center resident, had her whole family take part in the Inauguration
Event at the Pendleton Creek Golf Club and Pub. Her sons Christopher and Steven
led the Pledge of Allegiance. Her brother Carl Edholm installed the Officers
and Directors, and brother John Edholn installed her. The rest of Lori’s family
was there to support her; Lori is the youngest of nine. In addition to her BNAR
Presidency, Adams currently serves as Director for the New York State
Association of Realtors® and National Association of Realtors®.
Adams
goes beyond to further her personal and professional development and is a
champion for the real estate industry and in her community. Her charity is “The Miracle League of Western
New York.” The Miracle League of Western New York provides individuals
with adaptive needs the opportunity to play baseball on a custom-designed,
rubberized field, removing barriers and fostering inclusivity, joy, and
community. “Her objective is to help raise funds
and create awareness for The Miracle League of Western New York,” said John B.
Leonardi, BNAR Chief Executive Officer.
In addition to Adams’s installation, the
following individuals were installed:
Officers: Melvin Taylor Jr., President Elect; Shufen “Judy” Lee, Secretary/Treasurer;
Bret Llewellyn Vice President; Kelly Spurlock, Immediate Past President and
Joel HusVar, Presidential Advisor. Directors serving three-year terms are
Margaret Fisher, Donna Littlefield, James Wangelin and Amber Wesser. One-year term as Directors at Large are Peter
F. Hunt and Matthew Whitehead and Andrew Kachaylo and Tammie Scibilia serving
as Regional Director.
Also
at the event, Rosalind Burgin was named Realtor® of the Year and Shufen “Judy”
Lee was named Realtor-Associate® of the Year.
These awards are based on exemplary service, participation and
involvement in the BNAR, the real estate community, the National and State
Associations involvement, and service in civic, community, church and
charitable projects, as well as business accomplishments
