Buffalo Niagara Association of REALTORS® Inaugurates 2015 President

Joe Rivellino was installed as the 111th President of BNAR
Buffalo, NY – On January 14, 2015 at The Statler City, Joe Rivellino of Rivellino Realty, was named 2015 President of the Buffalo Niagara Association of Realtors® (BNAR), a trade organization with more than 2,700 local members whose mission is to promote professionalism, real estate property rights and values and the voice for real estate in the Western New York area.  Joe was installed as President by his parents, Aldo and Angela.

A Warsaw, NY resident, Rivellino has served as an Officer of BNAR for the past three years before becoming President.  His past accomplishments include President and Realtor® of the Year of the Genesee Valley Board of Realtors® and has served on both Associations Committees as well as at the State and National level.  Joe’s involvement is not only with residential properties but also owns a commercial real estate office.

“Joe goes above and beyond to further his personal and professional development and has the passion to serve for the greater good of the association. He is a tremendous advocate for home owners and the community and is devoting his energy to Mercy Flight and Meals on Wheels, his designated charities for 2015,” said John B. Leonardi, BNAR Chief Executive Officer.

In addition to Joe’s installation, the following individuals were installed by Michael Smith, President of the New York State Association of Realtors®:  Officers - Sharon Ciminelli, President Elect;  Larry Lentini, Secretary/Treasurer;  Dawn Brown, Vice President;  Christie Rothschild, Past President and Judy Winklhofer, Presidential Advisor.  Directors serving three year terms are Ann Aquilina, Margaret Fisher, Curtis Neureuter and Eric Winklhofer.  One year terms as Director at Large is Peter F. Hunt and Matthew Whitehead.   Appointed as Regional Director, Rebecca Van Dorn is representing Genesee Valley and Elaine McCune is representing Niagara County.  Michael Kracker, District Director- Congressman Chris Collins, was there to present a proclamation to the Association.
Also at the event, James Knight was named Realtor® of the Year and William Higgins was named Realtor-Associate® of the Year.  The awards are based on exemplary service and participation in the BNAR, the real estate community, the national and State Association and involvement and service in civic, community, church and charitable projects as well as business accomplishments

The Buffalo Award was presented to Peter Cimino, a prestigious award given out for exceptional accomplishments in service to the BNAR, and is reserved for exemplary performance and outstanding dedication well beyond the call of duty.
