Dear Readers,

I want to wish all of you a very healthy, happy and prosperous New Year. As I begin to look back on the housing market for 2011, we fi nished the year stronger than anticipated. Yes, we fell short of the number of homes that were sold when compared to 2010 but that was expected. In 2010 we had government tax incentives which skewed the market and forced twelve months of home sales into the first six months of the year. As the economy continued its slide in 2011 home sales dropped slightly when compared with the second half of 2010 but fi nished as strong in November and December. So, what’s the forecast for 2012? Overall, we will see between 2.5 and 3 percent growth in the US economy which bodes well for us in Western New York. Our housing market will continue to grow at a good pace and stay ahead of that curve. Remember, we never experienced the fast growth or the faster decline like the homeowners experienced in Nevada, Arizona or California. Housing in our market is still appreciating.
Interest rates are still below 4 percent, home prices have hit bottom in our market and there are over 5,000 homes to choose from. NOW is the time to begin building REAL wealth and independence. National surveys suggest that the advantages of homeownership outweigh renting and in the end - it is YOUR home.
I strongly suggest you start with 2FindYourHome.com your ONLY source for 100 percent of the inventory of homes for sale in Western New York. Trust the site that the industry professionals trust.
