The BNAR’s DEI Committee welcomed Todd Vaarwerk, Chief Policy Officer at the WNY Independent Living family of agencies, on the challenges and discriminatory practices suffered by people with disabilities. As a person with cerebral palsy, Todd discussed hurdles he has faced and offered a wealth of information on funding, regulations, and resources available for housing the disabled. An eye-opening discussion, the Committee reaped valuable info from this discussion.

For Immediate Release:  October 2, 2023 | Contact: Pete Peterson at (716) 688-1234  MJ Peterson Real Estate Holds Buffalo Bills Ticket Raffle to Raise Money to Benefit the SPCA of Erie County AMHERST, NY -- MJ Peterson Real Estate held its second Buffalo Bills Ticket Raffle, supporting the SPCA of Erie County. The raffle was held in late October at MJ Peterson’s Corporate Office located at 200 John James Audubon Parkway. All MJ Peterson offices contributed to the cause. Each entry was $10 for a chance to win four tickets to the Buffalo Bills Thursday Night Football game on October 26th against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Each person could enter as many times as they wanted. In total, MJ Peterson raised $1,820 for the SPCA. MJ Peterson also held its First Pickleball Charity Invitational in August where all proceeds were donated to the SPCA. “Saving one animal won’t change the world, but it will change the world for that one animal” said Victor L.
