ESSEX HOMES BREAKS GROUND ON NEW AMHERST DEVELOPMENT

May 10, 2019 (Amherst, NY) – Essex Homes of WNY is pleased to announce it has broken ground on the Villas at Essex Woods, a new community development located at 2350 Sweet Home Road near French in Amherst, NY. The announcement was made by Philip J. Nanula, president & CEO of Essex Homes. 

The two-phased development of the Villas at Essex Woods will encompass 14 separate buildings containing a total of 48 units housing three and four-unit villas. The villas will feature two, distinct open floor plans with two and three-bedroom units, first floor master suites, 2.5 baths, lofts, rear patios, full basements, 2.5-car garages and a host of luxury amenities. The “Arlington” home plan will offer 2,204 sf of living space including a spacious foyer, a large formal dining room, a kitchen with island breakfast bar, a cozy great room with large windows to invite spectacular views of the outdoors, a first floor master suite with walk-in closet and private bath, and two second-floor bedrooms. Similarly, the “Arlington II” home plan will offer a virtually identical layout with 2,124 sf and just one additional bedroom on the second floor. Estimated starting prices will begin in the upper $360s-$380s. 

2 The project is currently in the early stages of the approval process to be granted condominium status by the Attorney General of the State of New York. The Villas at Essex Woods will also offer all the features and benefits of homeowner association (HOA) services for a modest monthly fee. These services will include property insurance, water, landscaping, lawn maintenance and fertilization, and snow removal services.

According to Nanula, the Villas at Essex Woods will have a projected economic impact of over $20M upon final construction completion. This project represents the second major community development by Essex Homes to offer condo status. Currently, the firm is in its third phase of development of Essex Greens at Waterford, a 108-lot luxury patio home community with condo status located just off Roll Road, E. of Transit Road in Clarence.

ROBERT MCDONNELL APPOINTED COO OF HUNT COMMERCIAL

BUFFALO, NY – May 9, 2019 – HUNT Commercial Real Estate has announced the appointment of Robert McDonnell as Chief Operating Officer. McDonnell was originally recruited to HUNT Commercial in the early 1990s, where he learned the complexities of the business with the help of a team of seasoned and experienced brokers. McDonnell’s initial experience at HUNT helped him transition to a 20+ year career with a highly regarded commercial development firm, and his career evolution included working as a Sales/Leasing Manager, Senior Sales/Leasing Manager, Director of Business Development, Vice President of Sales, and the Senior Vice President and Broker of Record. He has been involved in all sales and marketing related activities for a vast multi-client portfolio totaling upwards of 15 million square feet. Strong Sales Growth Boosts HUNT Real Estate In National Rankings

Leading industry publication ranks HUNT as the top family-owned and operated real estate firm headquartered in New York State

Buffalo, N.Y. – March 28, 2019Respected real estate industry publication REAL Trends (www.realtrends.com) has released their annual Top 500 survey, ranking the nation’s most successful real estate firms based transactions and closed sales volume totals in 2018. With 13,495 closed transactions and $2.76 billion in sales volume in 2018, HUNT ranked nationally at #35 in transactions (up six places from 2018) and #71 in sales volume (up 45 places from 2018).

The REAL Trends Top 500 survey also reported that HUNT experienced 20% growth in transactions and experienced a remarkable 49.5% increase in sales volume from the previous year.

The Top 500 survey also recognized HUNT in the following categories:

  • #17 on Top Movers - Transactions:  Ranking of firms that had the largest increase in closed sides from 2017 to 2018
  • #17 on Top Movers - Volume:  Ranking of firms that had the largest increase in closed sales volume from 2017 to 2018

MJ Peterson Sees Stellar 2018 With Expansion of Workforce & Portfolio

Company president attributes success to diverse offerings in local market
AMHERST, NY – MJ Peterson celebrated its 89 th year in business during their 35 th Annual Awards
Ceremony, held at the Park Country Club. Victor L. Peterson III, President and CEO of MJ Peterson, opened the ceremony’s speeches with the State of the Company address. Mr. Peterson congratulated the company on being the largest independently owned and operated, full-service real estate company serving all of WNY’s real estate needs.

“MJ Peterson is proudly committed to Western New York,” Mr. Peterson remarked. “Our strategy of a diversified business model continues to contribute to our growing revenue and workforce in 2018.”

In addition to welcoming 52 new sales associates and 23 new employees in 2018, MJ Peterson acquired the boutique firm, Robitaille Real Estate & Relocation!
Several sales associates and employees were acknowledged for their individual achievement at the
ceremony: Susan Lenahan was recognized as top agent for the twelfth consecutive year. Lenahan closed over $24.1 million in residential sales in 2018. She has been the top Buffalo city agent for more than 20 years. The Olear Team, led by Michael Olear in Tonawanda, was awarded the 2018 top team with over $23.9 million in sales.

Ronald “Gunner” Tronolone was awarded the top commercial agent and Gary DeCarlo was awarded 2nd Top producer based on both units and volume in 2018. Joe Jacobi Jr. received a “Team Impact” award for his contributions to the Commercial Division.

Stephen Grimm (of East Amherst), Marketing Director of MJ Peterson was awarded Employee of the year. Michael Cassidy (of West Seneca), Senior Accountant, was awarded Accounting Employee of the year.

The Property Management division saw a strong rental market, and have several new projects in the pipeline. Deer Lakes, their luxury apartments in Amherst, saw their final phase completed, wrapping up the 256-unit complex. They will continue with the construction of a Club House at this property which will house site staff offices and tenant amenities such as an exercise room, kitchen facilities, and a community room. Excitement was evident at the award ceremony for their expansion into a dedicated 55+ senior community complex, and their long-term investment strategy. Lee Eyrick (of Buffalo) and Brianna Russell (of Tonwanda), received Exceptional Performance Awards for Property Managers. Jim Baker (of Amherst) received Exceptional Performance Award for maintenance.

Peterson concluded his address by saying, “Each year we are honored by Business First as one of the Top Private Companies in WNY. This year we were ranked 23 rd .”

Buffalo Niagara Association of REALTORS Inaugurates 2019 President

Buffalo, NY – On January 11, 2019, Eric Winklhofer was named 2019 President of the Buffalo Niagara Association of REALTORS® (BNAR), a trade organization with more than 3,300 local members whose mission is to promote professionalism, real estate property rights and values and the voice for real estate in the Western New York area.  Eric was installed as President by his parents, Robert and Judy Winklhofer.
 
A Lancaster, NY resident, Winklhofer followed in his parents footsteps and started his career in real estate in 1988 and is a Broker-Owner of Century 21 Winklhofer real estate with offices in Clarence/Williamsville and Grand Island.  Winklhofer is a second generation REALTOR and third in his family to become President; his father Robert in 1983 and his sister Amy in 2012. Besides being BNAR president in 2019, he currently serves as Director for the New York State Association of REALTORS and National Association of REALTORS.
 
Winklhofer goes beyond to further his personal and professional development and is a champion for the real estate industry and in his community.  Close to his heart is his hockey buddy, whose daughter Ava was born with no limb from the elbow down and that’s why he chose the Lucky Fin Project as his charity in his year.  “The organization exists to raise awareness and celebrate children and individuals born with limb differences (Symbrachydactyly).  His objective is to help raise funds and create awareness, said John B. MJ Peterson Launches 2019 with Six Real Estate Industry Recognitions

AMHERST, NY - MJ Peterson Real Estate is pleased to announce six real estate industry recognition's, comprised of four individual leadership positions and two award winners. These leadership positions include the WNY Chapter of the New York Association of Commercial REALTORS® (NYSCAR) and the Buffalo Niagara Association of REALTORS® (BNAR).
Ronald “Gunner” Tronolone’s was appointed to the position of President at the WNY NYSCAR
chapter. Mr. Tronolone is joined by fellow MJ Peterson Commercial Real Estate Sales Associates, Joseph J. Jacobi Jr. and Amanda Hirsch, both of whom were appointed as REALTOR® Directors to the Board.


At the NYSCAR inaugural banquet, Mr. Tronolone announced his excitment to lead the WNY Chapter of NYSCAR. As a member since it’s founding, he is tasked with increasing networking opportunities, expanding education, and driving community awareness.


During the 2019 BNAR induction ceremony, incoming officer Brendan Cunningham was named Secretary/Treasurer for 2019. officially broken ground in two popular Clarence communities and is actively accepting build
reservations for both Spaulding Green and Northwoods. Located just east of Transit Road in

Two of the models will open to the public for viewing beginning in late March 2019.

Jennifer Maxian to manage the curriculum and training for HUNT's residential real estate and ancillary businesses

BUFFALO, NY – February 20, 2019 – HUNT Real Estate announces the promotion of Jennifer Maxian to the position of Director of Career Development. Maxian has been with HUNT since 2010, most recently as the Manager of Agent Technology. Maxian holds a Master’s Degree in Business and Marketing Education from Buffalo State College and brings to HUNT a background in teaching and curriculum design at both the secondary and collegiate levels, as well as years of experience as a high-performing real estate professional.

In her role as Director of Career Development, Maxian is responsible for developing and maintaining the training curriculum and methodology across all regions and core businesses of HUNT Real Estate. This includes coordinating the creation, production and delivery of all training materials. Maxian will also guide a team of Regional Trainers to ensure consistency across the organization.
